Wisdom from the Field with Nicole Masters

Event time in PT10:00 a.m.Wednesday, July 15 · Pacific time
Event time in UTC17:00Wednesday, July 15 · UTC
Building healthy soil is much like raising a child—it takes patience, a supportive community, and the ability to adapt as conditions change. There are no universal recipes for restoring living soils; lasting success comes from observing, learning, and responding to the unique context of each landscape.

Join world-renowned soil health consultant, author, and educator Nicole Masters as she shares lessons from decades of working alongside farmers and land managers around the world. Through stories from the field and practical insights, Nicole will explore why patience, context, experimentation, and continuous learning are essential to creating resilient farms, thriving ecosystems, and lasting agricultural transformation.

Whether you're just beginning your soil health journey or have been walking it for years, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of what it truly takes to work with living systems—and why the journey is one worth sharing.

Six-Month Orchard Transformation: Building Independence from Fertilizers with Soil Biology

Event time in PT10:00 a.m.Wednesday, July 29 · Pacific time
Event time in UTC17:00Wednesday, July 29 · UTC
Rising fertilizer costs, increasing water demands, and declining soil performance are pushing growers to rethink how they manage their orchards. When severe soil compaction threatened a 50-hectare walnut orchard in Spain, regenerative agriculture consultant Dani Iraberri turned to soil biology instead of additional synthetic inputs.

In this webinar, Dani shares how compost extract, cover crops, and biologically focused management transformed the orchard in just six months. Through before-and-after images, field observations, penetrometer readings, irrigation monitoring, soil organic matter data, and microscopy videos, he will explore the strategies behind the orchard's rapid recovery.

Dani will also discuss how these early improvements laid the foundation for longer-term outcomes, including reduced fertilizer dependence, lower water use, and a more resilient production system. Join us for a practical case study on restoring soil function through biology.

Bioremediation - The Superpowers of Microbes

Event time in PT10:00 p.m.Thursday, August 06 · Pacific time
Event time in UTC05:00Friday, August 07 · UTC
Note - this webinar takes place at 10pm Pacific Time.
Healthy soils do more than support plants—they can also help heal polluted environments. Many microorganisms, particularly fungi and bacteria, possess remarkable abilities to break down or transform toxic compounds that would otherwise persist in our soils and waterways. This natural process, known as bioremediation, is becoming an increasingly important tool for restoring damaged ecosystems.

In this webinar, soil ecologist Dr. Sandra Tuszynska will introduce some of nature's greatest microscopic "superheroes," exploring how they degrade pollutants, immobilize contaminants, and contribute to ecosystem recovery. Through real-world examples of successful bioremediation projects, Sandra will explain both the incredible potential of these organisms and the practical challenges of working with them in the field. Whether you're interested in soil biology, ecological restoration, or environmental remediation, this webinar will deepen your understanding of the hidden organisms helping to restore our planet.
